martinsville race results(4/14/02)-

43-john andretti: john began the race in 21st, but was suffered back a couple times. but after he decided to stay out while the leaders pit he stayed up in the top half of the field for a while, he even reached 3rd place. but as luck would have it, right before the middle of the race, his engine blew as he came out of turn 4 and he came to a rest on the front stretch. he ended the day in 42nd position, and moved down 2 spots in the points to 34th.

44-buckshot jones: buckshot seemed as if he was going to have a pretty good race when he caught up with john in the beginning laps. but he went down one lap after a pit stop, then lost another lap latter in the race. around the closing laps of the race kurt busch spun buckshot and johnny benson clipped the front end of his car causing major damage. he ended up finishing in the 33rd position, and lost one point position which moves him to 35th in points.

45-kyle petty: unlike the other pe drivers kyle had a relatively good race. in the beginning of the race it seemed as if kyle was going to go a lap down early, but some well timed cautions helped in tremedisley. kyle's car seemed to really be getting better after the half way ,ark and he was able to gain many positions running mainly in the teens. he was running 16th during the ending laps of the race but bobby hamilton spun and kyle clipped him on the right side and he was relegated back 4 positions to finish 20th, he ended up moving 2 positions in points to 23nd.
